ABOUT THE PROJECT
Dash2Devon was a four day sporting charity challenge that took place in May 2024, where 14 participants cycled and ran from Great Bardfield in Essex to Croyde in Devon. The event was held in memory of Juliet Garmoyle, with all funds raised going to Place2Be, a charity supporting children’s mental health.
Being part of this inspiring event was an incredible experience and one of my favourite projects to date. Over the course of four intense days, I filmed every moment and conducted interviews with the athletes as they faced each stage of the challenge. My goal was to create a final piece that not only showcased the physical and emotional demands of the journey but also raised awareness for this important cause, encouraging future donations.
The final outputs were a 12-minute documentary and a one minute highlight reel, both of which received an overwhelmingly positive response from the public.

"Throughout the whole process from inception to finished product Sam was a joy to work with. He thought about every scene and went to the extra mile to always get the best shot. The finished video was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend working with Sam!"
